Netflix is the leading streaming site with hundreds upon hundreds of movies, TV shows and documentaries in its library. And if you have a high-speed internet connection, subscribing to Netflix is a must.
Netflix produces its own TV series and big-budget movies to be exclusively streamed on its site. There are three subscription rate for you to choose from: BASIC, STANDARD and PREMIUM.
Netflix will charge your credit card a fixed amount every month, depending on the type of subscription you choose. You also have the freedom to upgrade or downgrade depending on your needs. So, a year's accumulated cost for a BASIC Netflix subscription non-HD is P4,440.00, but you can only watch on one screen (either on a smart TV or your mobile phone app). For STANDARD subscription, the annual cost is P5,520.00 and you can watch HD on two smart TVs, or two mobile apps, or a TV and an app, at the same time. For the PREMIUM subscription, it is pricier at P6,600.00 but you can watch on four screens at Ultra High Definition.
But did you know that you can have a year-long Netflix subscription for less than P1,000.00? I was browsing Lazada for an Android TV device one day when I saw several product listings that offer a subscription to different apps and streaming sites, including Netflix, for an unbelievable rate that was too good to be true. There are different stores that offer different subscription rates for different Netflix service. I got a STANDARD Netflix subscription for P700.00 a year and so far (I'm 3 months in), it's good. You just have to read all the reviews and hope that it is legit.
But here's the kicker: the account is not yours. You are sharing it with another. So, if the account has two screens available, you can only use one because the other person might be using it, too. Yes, that's a bummer. You cannot also change the settings as it may affect the account.
